The Campos de batalla (Battlefields) proyect is an itinerary through places hit by the past. An encounter with sites where hundreds of persons had fight and had died violently, key places in the history of Spain and which show now the presence of the absence. In most cases, the presence of the past is still alive in spite of the lack of visual sings of the violence occurred.
It may seem curious to think how places that appear so peaceful and quiet had been the scene and object of fights, dead, and destruction. The similarity between the images and the landscapes represented goes further than the formal aspect adding am emotional link.
Personal Feelings should be considered whenever you travel through the sites where such significant events took place. For a instant, satisfaction may prevail. You may become part of this special environment, together with a strong wind or mild breeze, warm sun or soft rain. Perhaps the most emotional moment is when you are able to feel in your body the same sensations that these stones or land had felt before.
